Online courses at colleges and universities are growing. One area university is finding summer to be the busiest time for online course enrollment.
Northwest Missouri State University reached a milestone this summer, as half of the enrolled students are taking online courses. The increase in enrollment nearly mirrors the increase in the number of courses offered — 26 percent more than what the university offered last summer. The number of students enrolled online this summer is up 20 percent over last summer.
