A suspect in a St. Joseph home invasion died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a high-speed chase in Brown County, Kan., last Friday, the Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed Monday.

Jack Ryan Kelley, 29, of St. Joseph, was wanted on a St. Joseph felony stealing warrant when he allegedly led authorities on a high-speed pursuit within the city limits of Hiawatha, Kan. He crashed his pickup into a ravine before fleeing from the vehicle and turning the gun on himself, officials said.

Bless the family as they mourn the loss of their loved one. It is too bad that he made so many bad choices and the ultimate bad choice to end it all and not face the charges or take the oppertunity to turn his life around. Then there are all the victims for all they have loss and the fear of being invaded. The poor man that can longer feel safe in his own home. Shame on all those that have taken that away. Hope for a positive end to the whole situation that all others responsibe can be found and brought to justice.
