A Fillmore, Mo., woman is in the hospital after being ejected from her vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Stacy Eychaner, 33, was driving north on Missouri Route H, 15 miles south of Maryville, when she lost control of her 2001 GMC truck. The vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and spun around.
Ms. Eychaner was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected. Two passengers in the vehicle, Dawson and Drake Eychaner, were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. The children were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, where a nursing supervisor would not comment on their conditions.
Ms. Eychaner was taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center. A nursing supervisor said she was undergoing surgery Tuesday night.
