Man robbed at senior citizens' home
Thursday, August 6, 2009 at midnight
HOLT, Mo. - A man living in a senior citizens' housing unit in Holt, Mo., became the victim of an armed robbery Tuesday.
A white male with short hair, a pencil moustache and a gun robbed the victim of cash and fled south on foot, said Clinton County Sheriff Porter Henson. The robbery occurred at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Mr. Henson said.
While similar to the actions of the man who robbed the bank in Lathrop, the sheriff believes this is not the case.
"Our theory is that this individual had to have had prior knowledge that the victim would have cash," Mr. Henson said. Also, the suspect is believed to be between 18 and 22 years old, he said. The robbery occurred at the Holt Senior Citizen Housing facility, Mr. Henson said.
Anyone with information about this crime should contact the Clinton County Sheriff's office at (816) 539-2156.

Might have been a boyfriend of an employee. Employees would have first-hand knowledge of what the residents have in their rooms. Pretty pathetic to steal from the elderly, no matter who it was.
The Senior Homes in my area have a sign in sheet at the desk at the front door that has to be filled out by visitors. They also have cameras. Doesn't this one?
