Caden Gregg’s mother lists off his medical history in one breath: one heart surgery, which left him with an open chest for more than two weeks, three attempts to close his chest, four heart catheterization labs and five stents placed.

The time period for his medical history went about as quickly: Caden turned 2 months old on July 27. His parents wanted him to come home to St. Joseph six weeks after his surgery. Now they’re hopeful he’ll be home in time for Christmas.

Our son was also born with HLHS in 2007.....although as you know, we have also been thru alot. We however didn't learn of his condition till he was 2 weeks old. This was a Blessing from God as kiddos don't normally make it that long with HLHS. 42 days later we got to bring our big boy home. He has had his Norwood 3 wks old & Bi-Directional Glen at a year and a half as well as GT Fundo & Diaphram surgery. He just turned 5 and and hasnt had any surgery since a year & half yrs old. He is doing great. He is scheduled for his last Open heart surgery in late Sept. this year. You HAVE to put your trust in God with your lil miracle baby. We have a Facebook group we made......Helping Hearts Missouri and feel free to join our sons FB page as well.......Praying for Jakob HLHS. <3 Many prayers and hugs to you parents......Your not alone in this battle. :)
